課程概述

Deciduous fruits (temperate fruit crops) constitute to be a great portion of the world fruit industry and science. The diversity and the uniqueness of the location and the climate of Taiwan enable deciduous fruit to be produced in the subtropical and tropical areas. Over the years Taiwan has developed some unique production systems and great research potentials of deciduous fruit crops. Deciduous Fruits I provides information on major economical deciduous fruit crops with emphasis on pome fruits, stonefruit, persimmons and some other minor woody deciduous fruit crops. 

課程目標
Deciduous Fruits I is designed to equip student the background and details on the morphology, physiology, and production of important woody deciduous fruit trees by lecturers and discussions. Another objective of this course is to stimulate student’s independent thinking with a group project. The course will also inspire student’s future career plan with current research tends in deciduous fruits. 
課程要求
Students enrolling in Deciduous Fruits I should have previously enrolled in Pomology or equivalent courses and have completed the course requirement. Full attendance is strongly encouraged.
